During my semester abroad in Seoul, South Korea
Hi! My name is Shivya Majumdar.
I am a student from India with a passion for Art and Art History. I developed this interest while travelling across the length and breadth of my country from a very young age. My vacations were filled with road trips through Rajasthan, boat rides in the back waters of Alappuzha, watching the scenery change from one state to another.
While travelling, my family and I would visit places of historical, cultural and heritage importance. Somewhere while exploring the local cultures, getting lost in traditional architecture, and engaging with regional art, I fell in love with how much Art tells us about the past.
Currently, I am pursuing my M.A. in History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art, London. While, I have been fortunate enough to have a taste of the diversity of my country, my university studies allowed me to travel to places such as South Korea (semester abroad), Berlin and Malta.
